Jane Henry was born and raised in the heart of “mushroom country” in Chester County and her love of the arts blossomed by growing up in an artistic family. Strong roots of living and being actively involved within the “Kennett” community and her knowledge of the local culture has cultivated her self-taught creativity. Jane’s career began in the corporate world of Human Resources but then chose to stay home while her children were young. During that time, she was co-owner of “Rosy Jane Collectibles” designing and painting decorative slates created exclusively for a local chain of gift shops and enjoys still seeing her work displayed on homes within the tri-state area. For the past seventeen years, she has been employed by the local school district and adores working with the children and families of the community.
Jane’s love and experience in glass-painting stemmed from a need to create a custom-themed set of glassware for her own dinner party event. This hobby quickly developed into a steady demand from friends and family for her creations has now evolved into a desire to teach others how to express themselves using a few splashes of color and a little imagination. Her style is bold, whimsical and colorful and her technique gives instruction with patience and personality that inspire everyone to get their creative juices flowing and express their true sense of artistic ability!
