Patricia Moshanko finds artistic inspiration in the natural world and around the small farm that she shares with her furred and feathered family of horses, goats, cats, dogs and chickens.
Although she received her MFA in printmaking from the University of Delaware, her most recent work combines digital images, the medium of encaustic, oil paint and stenciled text. At the request of a friend, she painted a number of wine glasses featuring horses and foxes and, in creating them, has discovered another exciting new medium.
She has taught a variety of courses in Design, Drawing, Printmaking and Painting at the university level but has also worked with high-school students in the Governor’s School for Excellence. Witnessing the creative process during her many years of teaching, she believes that artful expression is innate and that challenges are best met through a nurturing environment and with humor.
She works on a commission basis and will paint anything from large faux finishes in homes, to furniture, to tiny detailed images on glassware. Here is a link to Patty’s website.
