Stephanie Przybylek, artist, illustrator, writer and educator, is fascinated by creatures and the natural world. She holds a BA in Art from Gettysburg College and an MA in Art History from the University of Delaware. Her inspiration also comes from growing up in a family filled with artists. As a kid, she thought that everyone used Prismacolors and modeling clay and had homes with art studios! After twenty years in the museum field in PA, NY and DE as a curator, exhibit designer and administrator, she felt compelled to return to her own creative pursuits.
Stephanie works in multiple mediums, including acrylic on canvas and wood, and images combining watercolors, colored pencils and ink. She’s also known to scavenge driftwood from the Delaware River and use it in art, along with seashells, beach glass, Mardi Gras beads and other found objects. She loves traveling, using experiences to gather new ideas and materials for art. Her goal is simple: encourage creative exploration and the appreciation of nature.
Stephanie exhibit and sells her work throughout the Mid-Atlantic and offers classes through organizations like the Newark Arts Alliance and the Center for the Creative Arts in Yorklyn, Delaware. Stephanie’s work can be viewed at www.CreativeAnimal.net
